Winrock Water Projects

Winrock has been intensely involved in water activities for more than a decade, establishing a reputation as one of the leading institutions in policy and management of water resources and irrigation. Working with various stakeholders - including policymakers, scientists, research institutions, ministries, non-governmental organizations, and rural communities - Winrock’s specialists provide technical assistance, implement capacity building and project management programs, and assist in strategy and policy reviews, among other activities.

Winrock is currently a member of the USAID IRG-TetraTech Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) Water consortium. Winrock, known for its field-based participatory approach to the design and implementation of water resources management, has expertise in a number of areas in water including: small-scale irrigation, water users associations, micro-hydro, aquaculture and fisheries, watershed management and policy, aquatic ecosystems, coastal management, wetlands, renewable energy, women and gender, environmental services, and remote sensing and GIS technologies.
